2nd Level Judging of entries now ongoing

30 jurors from the ten Southeast Asian nations are now screening the videos that have been submitted to the competition, from October 26 – November 4, 2018. This will result in the 20 finalists that will vie for the top honors in the 2018 Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children.

Cambodia Youth Prepares For SEAVFC

It’s all systems go for Cambodia’s participation in the Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children 2018 as students ranging from 14 to 17 years old, explored their potentials as content creators by learning the rudiments of video production.

Who can Join?

Professionals, Amateurs, Children and the youth in the Southeast Asian region – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam can join. Read More.

Classification of Video Works

Video makers may enter video works that are either Non-Fiction or Fiction. Read More.

Target Audience

The Professionals need to specify their target audience:

  • Children under 7 years old
  • Children 8 -12 years old
  • Children 13 -17 years old

There are ten (10) categories in the competition – six categories for the Professionals, one for the Amateurs and three for the Children and Youth. Read More.

Running Time
  • Professional: Maximum of One Hour
  • Amateur: Maximum of 30 Minutes
  • Children/Youth: Maximum of Five Minutes

The first Southeast Asia Prix Jeunesse was inspired by the events at the biennial festival Prix Jeunesse International held in Munich, Germany in May 2016, which is the main activity of the Prix Jeunesse Foundation. The Prix Jeunesse Foundation is known internationally for advocating excellence in children’s television.
